Monique Williams, President

Monique Bio PicMonique Williams is a dog training and behavior professional certified nationally through both the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI) and the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Monique has over 30 years experience in training, beginning with AKC conformation competition in 1981. Since then, Monique has trained or titled her own and client dogs in a variety of training disciplines, including conformation, obedience, Rally-O, tracking, herding, and lure coursing. Monique has served the Collie Club of America as obedience chair for the 2007 National, as well as other kennel clubs as president, vice president, and obedience/performance chair.

Monique breeds and competes with Smooth Collies under the kennel name Stonebriar. Stonebriar has produced multiple AKC Champions, Grand Champions, pointed, and performance titled Collies. When not training dogs or at the soccer fields, Monique is usually at her barn with her horses, Radar and Hawk.


Yvonne Evans-Wynn, Vice-President

Yvonne_Bio_#1Yvonne Evans-Wynn has been in collies 17 wonderful years and enjoys training and competing with them in in herding, agility, obedience, rally and conformation. Together with her collies, Yvonne has earned 6 CCA Versatility Excellent Titles, multiple High in Trials in herding, and Most Versatile Collie in 2005. Under the kennel name of Wynhaven, Yvonne has bred both rough and smooth collies with multiple Champions and two Grand Champions. She has been a member of the Collie Club of Georgia since 1997, Collie Club of America since 1998, American Working Collie Assoc. since 2000, Collie Health Foundation since 2000 of which she is currently serving a second term as corporator. Yvonne has been an instructor at Atlanta’s Dogwood Obedience Group since 2003 and a member of the North GA All Breed Herding Dog Association since its inception in 2004. She has held a variety of positions including Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer for Collie Club of Georgia, Collie Club of America District Director for Georgia from 2010 to 2014, and Trial Chairman for the 2013 CCA Eastern Regional Herding Trial.

Her first love has always been performance with her collies. When not training or showing her dogs, Yvonne is busy enjoying the outdoors with her son who enjoys soccer, football, swimming and snow skiing.


Kristy McTaggart, Treasurer

Kristy Bio PicKristy McTaggart is a recent transplant to the Atlanta area from Southern California, where she got her start in collies and began to learn the art of grooming and handling the glorious Rough Collie in conformation competition under the able tutelage of Linda Hash-Davis and Barbara Hash O’Keefe of Gambit Collies.  She has bred two litters of show ring hopefuls since trading a tiny California bungalow for a big ol’ Georgia backyard!

Kristy holds an Animal Science degree from the University of Minnesota and is keenly interested in collie genetics, canine nutrition and conditioning.  She is also an avid student of collie history, and has established the pedigree of her foundation dam in an unbroken line back to Eng. CH Magnet, progenitor of the American Collie, born in 1912.  Kristy and her recording artist husband, Ed, owned an Advertising Agency in Costa Mesa, CA and are both professional graphic artists and musicians. They currently reside in Dacula, GA with their Whitehall Collies.


Debra Guthman, Secretary

Debra Guthman is one of the co-breeders/owners of CH Scotsgael Bit O’ Abbeyhill, “Lacy” and Scotsgael Trace of Abbeyhill RA CGC HIC BN, “Trace”. Debra enjoys multiple interests with her dogs including Rally-O, agility, herding, and lure coursing. Debra and Trace completed his first Rally Novice at the age of 7 months, taking first place with a score of 97/100. Subsequently, Trace completed his Rally Novice before his first birthday.

A member of Collie Club of Georgia since 2012, Debra has served in the positions of Secretary and President, as well as, co-chair and trophy chair for the Winter 2015 Collie Club of Georgia Specialty shows. Debra has also been a member of Collie Club of America since 2013 and active with Collie rescue since 2004.
